Do you like punk rock? And do you like reading? More importantly, do you like feeling patronised? If all three, please read on...

This is a blog about punk rock. In 2014. I've never been very with the times.

    Anyway....

New update! I review the first LP by cool indie-punk London-based band Doe, as well as the debut 7" from Shallow Cuts and the new album from Wasted Daze. Read Hard, meanwhile, has found ANOTHER pop-punk classic to discuss: Sloppy Seconds- Destroyed. And discuss he does; considering the depth of the discussion (with references to Freud, Elvis and "Rent-a-cop"), I think this may be Read Hard's best track-by-track analysis so far.

    Until next time....

I gotta check out that Wasted daze album!

I was pretty happy with this analysis!

A new update for those of you not getting your Teenage Kicks. That's right, Read Hard talks about the birth of pop-punk and The Undertones s/t debut. Meanwhile, I review new albums by Caves and The Tim Version.

New update!...and it involves art. That's right. Three comic strips by Eddy. Hopefully, this is going to be a semi-regular thing! I also review two debut releases, one by London-based Bottler and one by The Fairweather Band. The next update will involve a live review of the Amp Session's first gig (pirates included) from last weekend and a look back at Masked Intruder's s/t album.

Another week, another update. As promised, this includes a review of the debut Amp Session Live! and a track by track analysis of Masked Intruder's S/T, a true modern classic. There is also a review of Finnish punk rock band The Shangri Blahs.

It has been a while, but finally a new update on the site and it is pogo-tastic. That includes a review of the awesome Lipstick Homicide/Zatopeks/Pop-punk all-dayer @ Gullivers, Manchester, and Read Hard does his pop-punk analysis thing on #17 Riverdales- S/T.

Also: more news on this to come, but there will shortly be another batch of physical zines being printed, so get in touch if interested.

Ok, so a fair bit of stuff has been put on the site for the last update of the year: mine and Read Hard's top ten of the year; a playlist of the year; some more art from Eddy; a review of the No Marks first album, and a couple of bonus Christmas songs...

See you in 2015. If you would like a printed zine of Keep Track of the Time's 2014 collection, get in touch!

First proper update of the new year! We have gone back to 1989 for Read Hard's look back at Groovie Ghoulies' first album Appetite for Adrenochrome. As well as that, we have reviews of new releases from John Allen, Twisted and Pears.

Hey, you! Yes, you! A new update. That includes a comic strip from resident artist Eddy. It also includes me starting the huge task of reviewing every current It's Alive Records release, starting with a Copyrights 7" back in 2004. I grade releases 01-10 here; who knows when the next update will be, but lets pretend it will be soon!

Ever fallen in love with a blog (you shouldn't have fallen in love with?) That's right, Read Hard has done his 19th (!) pop-punk pick and it's Buzzcocks classic second album Love Bites, which is up there with his best!
Secondly, I had a skype chat with German folk singer John Allen the other day; the interview is now online, where we discuss his new album, his tour with Frank Turner and his worst New Year's Eve memory.
Check it all out here: https://keeptrackofthetime.wordpress.com/
Before you do all that, take a look at this video of John covering "Mr. Jones" with Frank Turner

Read Hard you should compiles those analyses into some physically published format. I'd buy that for a dollar

I would totally be up for compiling this if RH is.

Speaking of the analyses, a new one just went up: Descendents- I Don't Wanna Grow Up

There's a bunch of other stuff that went up in the last couple of weeks, including: reviews of The Kimberly Steaks' new EP, a Chuck Ragan gig, the new Football, etc EP and Personal Best album.

A new update has just gone up as me and Read Hard have been hard at work reviewing. I reviewed the first full-length from Manchester's Don Blake and the new one from Pale Angels, while RH assessed the new EP from We Are The Union and the latest LATTE+ full-length. Click here to see what RH has to say about the 'atrocities of modern pop-punk': https://keeptrackofthetime.wordpress.com/

The site has had an update, with Read Hard looking back at Teen Idol's third record Full Leather Jacket, while I grade 10 more It's Alive Records releases.

"Look at how Goddamn ugly the stars are"
Hello readers. New update! I've reviewed the new Bangers album, while Read Hard has knocked up a half century of pop-punk analyses by looking back at Alkaline Trio's classic 1998 debut Goddamnit.
We have an article coming up on the blog in the coming days which is very 'fat' indeed.
In the meantime, wish Read Hard a happy birthday. 26 today (yesterday as I am posting this), not such a young punk now!

Site update! Read Hard has veered away from 'classic pop-punk' and has analysed The Replacements album Tim for pick number 26.
We've got a bunch of reviews to post soon on the website, plus an interview or two and our best of 2015 lists.
