What about during the zombie apocalypse?

I disagree.  I said this in the other thread, but in the comic, when we first meet Lori and Shane, hadn't she already put a stop to their thing, and was regretful of it?  And wasn't it just something that happened one time?  That makes her way more sympathetic than if they're having an ongoing thing that continues right up until the point when Rick comes back.

In the comic it was more of a battlefield fling.  Like we cut in right after they've done battle with some baddies, and they both just wanna feel something other than terror and blood all over them so they screw.  That was it.  Lori put a stop to it immediately because she felt all bad about it.  He was pissy about it.

I guess to me it just doesn't look that good in the show because obviously just scaring a woman wouldn't normally get you in the sack, and scaring a woman who's alone out in the woods without a weapon during a zombie apocalypse definitely relegates you to the doghouse, but she almost throws herself down on the ground ready for some action.  That doesn't seem like a first time thing to me.  And when they both stop, look at the wedding ring on the necklace, and then she just takes it off and starts to take a pounding?  It's like they had every chance to say, 'Let's wait for awhile,' and yet don't.  That explain it a bit better?
haha, we killed Rally.  The fawn is probably eating his eyeballs right now while it has sex with his wife.

Is it ever explained in the comic book or the TV show why no one went to pick this fucker up at the hospital?  I mean, we can easily assume it was just hectic chaos and they had to leave him behind, but is it ever addressed?

It's a zombie apocalypse, you never go to the hospital during a zombie apocalypse.  Ever.

The one line I liked from this episode that wasn't ever in the comic was "don't get any on your skin or in your eyes." In the comic they get into zombie bloodbaths and get covered in zombie goo from head to toe without thinking twice about it. That always bothered me.

Finally got to watch the first 2 episodes. Fucking perfect. This show will definitely fill the void left by lost in my tv watching heart.

Show does seem better than the comic but kirkman is still the man!

Oh yeah, all the time. I'm really bothered by splatter filled head shots that end up all over the person's face and what not. A lot of movies and comics do this, it bugs the hell out of me.

Whats up with no zombie babies?  I've seen kids, but no babies - I guess the baby if it were a zombie would just lay there since it never knew how to walk?

So if the zombies can smell the living, how is it that Rick survived the hospital? I would think that if a stray zombie walked into that room, he'd be an easy lunch.

i bet he stunk. they didn't mention bed sores, did they? if he was left unattended for a long time, his skin would have started growing into the sheets.

When he first opened the door to his hospital room, he found a bed pressed up against his door; I garnered from that that in the chaos in the hospital with everyone being eaten or trying to get outta there a bed got crammed up against the door and there were easier targets for the zombies to go after..he was forgotten about after the staff (or whoever) corralled the zombies into a room and locked it up.

Anyone else notice while they're cutting up the zombie with the fire-axe that the protective mask on the one dude keeps disappearing and re-appearing as he chops?

I thought that too, but then it looks like because the helmet doesn't have a 'top', you can see the Mexican dude's hair sometimes but not the visor because of the camera angle so it looks like it's not on his head.  I think it is though.

They pretty much use the flowers to show you about how long..they were dead, but still had coloration and (brittle) petals.  Not much longer than two months is what I'd say, but I'm no flower expert.

i hate that the board is blocked at work now
i miss so much in this thread

i'm still not sold on main dude being likable.  but i dunno if he's supposed to be.  right now he seems like just a one-dimensional cop character
It's common knowledge that all vampires are Draculas.

also, since he was in a coma... why didn't he have to pull out a catheter when he got out of bed? he wasn't covered in pee! and since no one's been taking care of him... where was the poop, people?! his iv would've also been totally empty.

I had the same question when I watched that first episode, but I just attributed it to it being a TV show. Nobody shits on TV. Look at Jack Bauer.
