I think it's kind of making fun of the hipster du jour whatever.

Who cares?  Its the hippest show on tv currently.  Its all I hear about from those sorts of people.

Yeah,  he sure did.  Chopped is wonderful.  Portlandia is shitty comedy about hipsters.

The only comedy I watch and keep up with on TV currently is The League, other than that I like to watch depressing shit like Breaking Bad 4 years after the fact.

This shit is the worst.  The hipster du jour of the moment it seems, too.  I'm sick of hearing about it from the shittiest people.  Ugh.

rex.
the upside is that this "nbc's friends" exploitation of the hipster subculture (of which one one claims to be a part of  lol ( cool stash, love rivvr, occupy irony)) will ultimately dissolve all this nonsense with it's mainstreaming. hooray!

Finished the second episode.  That bicycle rights sketch was the only funny part.

Watched the first 2 episodes and it fell off fast. 2nd one was painfully unfunny. Never have been  much of a fan of armison.

The BSG episode was awesome.  Especially since Adama and Gaius were in it.

The 3rd episode was okay.  Worse one of this season.

I saw the Portlandia live show last night at the 9:30 Club. It was pretty cool overall.

They basically did a couple of comedy routines that were funny (one of them involved Ian from Nation of Ulysees), played a number of clips from upcoming episodes that were really funny, and then played a few songs with a full band that were ok. Then at the end they played some real songs with some girl I've never heard of, and it kind of left me confused. They were also having to rush at the end because there was a second show that night.

Overall, I laughed a bunch, but probably not worth the $40 or whatever it was. My friend and I were saying we should have saved our money for the upcoming Wild Flag show.
