As of two days ago I have left The Kobanes. My reasons are myriad. If you REALLY wanna know send me a p.m. Maybe we'll talk, maybe we won't. Depending on if I know you or not.
Suffice to say I'm tired of the bullsquit I have to put up with just to play pop punk music. I love their music (still do), but that in and of itself is not enough to continue with this band.
For the record my fellow bandmate, Fuzzy, was going to quit after retrieving his gear from Eddie's house. They (The Kobanes) either heard this tidbit of information or they read the writing on the wall and decided to "fire" him. Fuzzy got a text message tonight asking him to return his letterman jacket (let the jokes rain) in exchange for his bass amp. As though his amp is being held hostage. I'm hoping this isn't the way the message was intended, but after tonight's bit of pettiness I can't be too sure. What pettiness you ask? Well let me explain--
I had previously taken up for Eddie in a somewhat fierce regard. I THOUGHT he was a good guy with a good heart. This sadly is not the case. While on Facebook tonight he decided to accuse me of leaving the band over a girl. That's right, folks...over a girl. See, Eddie fell head over heels for a girl named Lucy, a local in his hometown of Bartlett, IL. Apparently she rebuffed his advances. Lucy and I have since become good friends.
Eddie has decided that I am applying the "buttfuck chokehold" (his words) to her, and for some reason feels betrayed by our friendship. I simply don't understand this. Even IF I were going out with Lucy, what business is it of his? He tried, he failed. And it's not like she was simply turned off by his appearance or bad hygiene. Oh no, no. She has no less than two friends with previous experience of Eddie's Stalker Habits. I guess Eddie just doesn't understand that "no" means "no." He instead pushes harder and harder until the girl runs for the hills. Simply put, if you have a vagina than Eddie will try to fuck it or hate you forever and spread malicious lies about you when you resist his advances. Unacceptable behavior of a future, if not current, rapist in my opinion.
So to Eddie--fuck you, you little brat. I'm sorry you couldn't have your way with this girl. Maybe you should stick to stalking 15 year old girls instead of someone that has a bit more life experience as my friend Lucy does. I don't appreciate the way you speak of her in the least and feel that at the very LEAST an apology is owed to her.
P.S.--Be on the lookout for my new band's, Prepare To Die, e.p. in March. We would also like to play Insub if the timing is right. Enoch, Thacker, if this is at all doable on your end we're game. You can all meet Fuzzy first-hand and see what a great guy he really is.
