I saw the movie first (and the Played With Fire one, too), and the amount of characterization that wasn't in the movies is astounding, but not surprising. The part I'm on was cut out and it's like WHOA

I have that book, but its kinda been pushed aside. I need to read it.

It's really fucking good!

Get the DVD, too, before they remake it. Normally I don't bitch about remakes of foreign films but there's no way this series will survive being Americanized. Part of the appeal, for me anyway, is that all of the actors look like ordinary people, and aren't just attractive people who maybe put on weight.

Why do you hate America, Wiggin? Lots of things are better Americanized. Like the Office and Shameless.

i need to replace my copy of this. i loaned it to a buddy of mine, saw it on his bookshelf a couple of years later battered all to hell. i really loved that book when i read it in middle/high school, so i'd like to revisit someday. i seem to recall that the ending was kinda lame, but not nearly as lame as some other stephen king books...

AAH! I know!! SO MUCH of that entire exchange is non-existent in the movies. I was freaking out while reading the actual fadlfdkjfasd in the book but during the movie I was like *meh*.

I am also not really positive on the American remake mostly because I have this unnatural hatred for Daniel Craig. I look at the guy and I want to punch him despite the fact he could probably tear off my arm using just his eyelashes.
