Huh, cool. It's definitely a little spacier than Shellac - more "90's-ish" if that makes sense. The vocals take a little getting used to (I guess that's where the New Order comparison comes in?). For some reason, my initial comparison was Hum and I'm not sure that's even right.

I'll check out the 12". Cool video.

i've come to realize the new order thing is mostly in my head. probably because i know i'm ripping off peter hook's basslines. our guitarist/singer loves hum and definitely goes for some of the same things as them effects-wise. thanks for listening! i'll post the preorder info once everything's all set

i mean, i guess i'm just a little confused that you'd be excited about releasing a VHS tape but whenever something's on cassette you're pretty much the opposite of excited

the visual aspect. it's 3 songs with accompanying videos. also, VHS audio quality is considerably better than cassette tapes. also, someone's doing all this stuff for us (including the videos) so that has me excited

yeah, but VHS video and audio quality is nowhere close to that of DVD. it's going to deteriorate after multiple viewings. it's going to get eaten in VCRs. it's a completely outdated medium. releasing a VHS tape is not very different from releasing a cassette tape. i don't know why anyone who's anti-cassette would be pro-vhs.
