i'm sure the first couple periods of today's game were just a perfect storm of a goalie having a really off day and refs actually calling the flyers on their shit. and it's doubtful we'll ever have a 6-0 lead over them again in the foreseeable future. it still felt really fucking good. it's commendable they came back as well as they did in the third. i had to stop myself from getting too down about it considering it's only the second time this season the devils have even had a six point game. i'm hoping we play comparably against the penguins tomorrow, but am pretty sure we've probably used up all our luck for the weekend.

I saw that, theres is a gif. The Devils have been getting a lot of lucky calls, bounces so I guess punches are not exempt.

like richards, parise might actually be worth the money. i don't think even a max contract would be as ridiculous as the gomez, drury, and holik contracts. them shits = fucking awful.

i know it's impossible for me to not come off biased in the matter, but marty was definitely down with a ranger on top of him before that shot was taken no matter which angle they showed it from. just hold onto that rage for the next time we face each other when odds are this streak we've been on will have run out of steam.

Gaborik would not have been on top of Marty had Volchekov not pushed him into him. You can see Gaborik was trying to stop from the hash marks.

i like you too much to add multiple pages to the thread of "yes he would have" vs. "no he wouldn't have". you guys are still way ahead of us in the standings. so just hold onto that rage and take it out on some other teams (preferably those currently in 2nd through 4th place)
