My friend was a sizeable Milemarker fan. One time we saw them and for whatever reason Al Burian was being a gigantic dick to my friend (I think it was the hat he was wearing). Like, after nearly every song would comment or point out my friend. So after the show, my friend walks up to Al Burian and tells him off, calls him a dick and says that he won't be buying anymore of his shit. Burian apologized profusely and turned into this huge wimp.

Never really respected the guy after that.

Yeah, he's pretty much known for being an absolute asshole.

My main issue was, A) why pick on an audience member in the first place and B) if you are, carry it out at least, don't whimper afterwards and apologize. Personally, I'd prefer the A scenario, but if you're going to be a dick, be a dick.

Worked a few days of Milemarker shows back in the day. Al was pretty nice to me. I remember really liking the Burn Collector omnibus he gave me.

I really enjoyed Challenger, although I know nothing about this guy or anyone else in the band.  Except that Jedoublesica Hodoubleper played bass for them.

i think she only played on one tour.  i'm not sure who played on the record.  that LP and their EP are so damn good.  con limon is pretty sweet too.  milemarker's really hit or miss for me

A "joke" that was pretty mean-spirited and lasted over 3 breaks in songs is pretty hard not to take the wrong way. It was pretty harsh stuff.
