yeah, I just went over to itunes and flipped through a couple episodes at the same volume I was just listening to that NPR piece about lookout and it sounds the same. There are times that the mic volume gets a little low and I turn it up, but it tends to want to blow out, so I just throw compression on and it usually fixes it. Overall I don't see what you're saying about the volume though.

So weird. I'll turn up the overall volume a bit on the next one, let me know what you think.

The sound check thing never works as well as advertised for me. I still get blasted out by certain songs, other ones are too soft.

As for the podcast, it's definitely quieter than other stuff for me. The songs are normal volume, but the speech is really quiet. Never as loud as the music.

I enjoy the show and I wouldn't have brought it up on my own, but since we're talking about it...

I'll definitely pay special attention to it. I definitely don't put as much effort into making sure everything is loud enough as I should. I need to plan enough time to properly do the leveling.

i get random volume issue in general with stuff on my computer, somteimes its loud, sometimes its not.... but in iTunes its all similar, cus the soundcheck thing is on.

but you should compress it more anyway, then maybe throw a limiter on the master track, that'll make that shit sound CRANKED... it'll add some intensity or something to the listening experience!

The Steinways agreed to break up at the end of 2008/beginning 2009. We played one show in February (with Chris Pierce on drums) and then Insubordination Fest 2009 was our "official" last show.

Of course we had to ruin that by playing Insubordination Fest again (unannounced) in 2010.

Then we had to ruin that again by playing the Don Giovanni Showcase in February 2011 for the release of our compilation LP.

I like to think of our "real" last show as that awesome show the day after the Ergs! last shows, at the Cake Shop with Unlovables, LLC and For Science (with Jeff Erg singing).

I'm pretty sure House Boat's first show was in summer 2009. Word.
