Dream Journal
« on: November 23, 2011, 05:31:42 AM »
I was at a party.  I didn't know the person whose party it was, but some friends were there.  I wandered into the kitchen by myself, where someone was making themselves a cup of hot chocolate.  I noticed that in the freezer there were like five bags of miniature marshmallows.  I began systematically eating them, just going through the bags and eating every single marshmallow.  At one point I noticed I wasn't wearing any pants, and I thought "I'll put my pants back on after I finish eating all these marshmallows."  After what I thought was just a couple of minutes, one of the people who lived there came in the kitchen.  He was like "Well (the person hosting the party) has gone to bed and everyone else went home, soooo....." and I woke up as I was apologizing and putting my pants on.

Did you at least get to finish all five bags of marshmellows?

I had a dream once where I was in my old bedroom at my parents house.  There was a strange darkness around, hard to explain.  My parents came in to tell me they were leaving and, well, left.  After that, I decided to leave my room.  The structure of the house was the same but things were a lot nicer.  Walking down the hallway, it was getting progressively darker.  A fly flew by my head.  In the living room I started to hear a noise and there were a lot more flies.  In the kitchen the noise was unbearable and there were flies everywhere.  Hundreds of thousands of them, all covering the windows and buzzing around.  I woke up after this but later had a dream about sled riding so it's all cool.

I kept a dream journal for a few years, staring in 2002.  I started realizing weird patterns to my dreams after I started tracking them, like they usually take place at night, and if I'm indoors, the lights are off.

The best part is it led to lucid dreaming because I'd think about it before going to sleep, and in my dreams, I'd start paying more attention to details so I could remember them later.  It was pretty cool.

Lucid dreaming is where you realize it's a dream, right?  Were you ever able to take control?

I had a dream once where a spider peed on me. When I woke up, I was soaked in spider pee.

I'm going to take a stab at what things mean. I have no idea what I'm doing but it's fun.

You feel obligated but uninterested in being social, would rather focus on our own shit right now.

I feel like I have partially lucid dreams.. I realize I'm dreaming and that I can control the dream, but I don't get to logically make decisions about what happens next, some weird part of my brain takes over and makes stupid things happen.

I often realise I'm dreaming within a dream, wake up and do something seriously awful.

I then wake up in real life and realise all the awful things I did weren't real.

This happens at least twice a week.

I had a dream the other night where my grandparents were still alive.  They weren't in the dream, I just had a strong feeling that I hadn't seen them in a while and felt guilty so I felt like I needed to visit them.

Yeah, I was able to take control, but it's pretty limited.  My original goal was to read something in my dream and remember it as best I could.  I really wanted to know what my mind would create to add detail to a dream world, and when I finally got to the point where I realized I was dreaming, looked for a book and read a page, it was all gibberish.  The most I could remember was something like, "Strok okey day todoso."  I have it written in my file, but I can't find it at the moment.

Other times, I tried to do stuff like flying or moving stuff with my mind, but it's not super accurate.  I remember trying to fly but only getting a few feet off the ground, and then the dream took over and I was changing location and dealing with other randomness.  I'm sure it would get better with practice, but I do remember stopping the journal shortly after that because I was waking up tired.  I guess having active thoughts while you're asleep is counter-productive.

Lucid dreaming is the worst for me. I start panicking about never waking up as soon as I realize I'm dreaming. And because I'm freaking out a bunch of horrible things happen all around me.

I have a dream maybe once a month and they're never the same and never seem to matter much. I have a friend who's constantly telling me about reoccurring dreams where her family stitches her pets together. Like crazy Dr Frankenstein surgeries that she's powerless to stop. That and being trapped in an ocean full of cave fish (you know, like blind albino fish). I'd love to know what kind of sick freak that makes her.
Holy shit, Jacob is passionate about the mummy!

trying to read in dreams is the best, it's never possible because a different part of your brain deals with reading.

Rad, 2 for 2! I can't tell if I'm being so vague (like a horoscope) that it what I guess would apply to anyone, or if I am actually decent at trying to guess.

Has anyone even remembered having "Dream memories?"  Does that make sense?  Alright, I had a dream last night where I was on my cousins computer.  The internet didn't work and I remembered doing something to it, which broke it.  In my dream, I didn't break it but I remembered doing it.  I thought that was weird.

Last night was a very weird dreamt I dreamt that I discovered my mom had a secret and she gave me an explanation she had been working late and that work cause she had trouble at work and I told her "for a moment I thought you were working with secret conspiracys and stuff" and she said that I had caught her and that she had worked as a spy and writer for a secret magazine that was releasing things about the government and the magazine were run by women and helped by a few dudes, I came allong 4 girls that were daughters of other women who runs it and for some reason, Bruisy! I surprised yelled out "Bruisy!" and he quickly replied "yeah" and I told him "you dawg, the girls here are hot and we can score with them!" and he said back to me "I ain't here for sex, mate, I'm here for freedom and THE TRUTH" it was bizarre as fuck! I rode a motorcycle and went undercover!

I woke up five times because I was dreaming of loud video game noises. The last one was Gyle saying SONIC BOOM.
