The Christmas games are going to be sloppy as fuck.

I don't want to think this, but I think the short season really favors the Heat.  This is gonna be the kinda season where games/playoff series are won/lost on crazy individual performances, and I feel like Miami's got the most "potentially crazy individual performance" guys.

I also love this short season thing cause I sorta feel like anyone can at least slide into the playoffs as long as they start hot.  I can also really see this benefitting the Celtics, Spurs and other old-dude teams.

Mostly I'm just happy basketball is around.  Honestly, though, I wish every season was this length.
I've been really into getting a pair of boat shoes.

I want to do this, but I imagine I'll have too many blackout dates. It's total bullshit.

Yeah, I'm hoping that since I'm up here, I will get blazer games. I might just see how much it would be to get nwsportsnet or whatever that broadcasts most of the games.

Maybe I should look into that too. I think they offer an online package.

If they can survive the increased number of games over a short period it will help them in the playoffs. But those back to back to back games are going to be hell on old knees.

I've probably mentioned this before, but I got fucked one year with League Pass Broadband. I live between Indianapolis and Chicago, but I am in the Indianapolis television market, so the Pacers are the local team. I bought League Pass so I could watch Bulls games and they were all blacked out since it was reading my IP address as somewhere closer to Chicago. I went round and round with them, but they just said they "couldn't do anything." They even said I was not supposed to be getting the Pacers games (I was) and should be getting Bulls games. The stupid thing was I could go to my work one block over (different Internet provider) and watch the games... but, you know, I couldn't go into work at night when we are closed. So, I never bought League Pass after that.

Though, with NBA TV, ABC, ESPN, TNT, TBS, and WGN America I can still watch 8 to 12 games a week, so League Pass just doesn't seem worth it.

I didn't get into baseball until I was around 6. I was in NY by then. Fell in love with the Mets.

Christian is just a bandwagon jumper.  You didn't hear him talking about the Bulls during their streak of garbage teams.  In addition, he was just recently talking about how basketball was full of awful people he didn't care about.  He's a poser, guys.

I mean, do a search. You'll find I've always been a bulls fan. That doesn't mean that NBA players aren't the most greedy of them all. Sweet argument, bro! Also, why would I be a Mets fan if I were a bandwagon jumper? Hahaha.

and then Christian goes "Oh, yeah, well you blahblahblahblahblahblahblah.  Hahahahahahahahahaha."

And then we all laugh sarcastically until we die.

That blows and is exactly why I'm afraid to get it without researching. I don't have cable and Comcast Sportsnet NW has a lockdown on most games, so aside from going to a bar (which is fine, I suppose) I can only watch the 10 or so games that show on regular networks.

Bulls met with Caron Butler today. Not sure how I feel about that. Butler is injury-prone and they'd have to move him to the two, which he could handle, but he can't spread the floor. Bulls need an outside shooter. On the other hand, anything will be an improvement over Bogans' four points a game.

Good news for out-of-market Bulls fans... 38 of their 66 games are nationally televised. Plus, I'm sure they will win a Fan Night or two on NBA TV like last year. Especially surprising is that WGN America is carrying more than just the Saturday night games this year:

These will be the sloppiest games ever. I suspect the first few weeks of the regular season will be sloppy, too.

yeah, only 2 pre-season games for each team is gonna definitely not be enough to get a lot of these guys ready, especially free agents that are trying to get accustomed to their new settings in game-time situations.  the first few weeks are gonna be some sloppy sloppy ballgames.
Like, the male animals should be made to wear skirts and wigs and stuff, and the females should go past a line of builders who make cat-calls at them and whistle loudly in their direction.
