Introducing "The Cellar"
« on: November 29, 2011, 08:06:59 PM »
I just wanted to let everyone know that I host a new punk show called "The Cellar" every Tuesday afternoon from 4-5 (Central Time) on KPVL 89.1. In the very likely event that you're not in the Northeast Iowa/Southeast Minnesota area, you can listen online (http://www.publicbroadcasting.net/kpvl/ppr/index.shtml). It's not entirely pop-punk, but I do play quite a bit of it (you can check out today's playlist here: http://www.sobriquetmagazine.com/sobriquet/2011/11/sobriquet-775-playlist-for-the-cellar-112911.html).

I'm always looking for new bands to play and interview, so any suggestions are welcome.

If you're in a band and would like to have your music considered for The Cellar, feel free to contact me.

In the future, I'd like to do an entire show (and record a podcast) devoted to under-the-radar pop-punk bands. I figure this is the place to look!

Cheers,
Erik

I'll have to check this out, I'm not too far away and my wife has ties to Decorah.
OUT NOW... Tenement "Blind Wink" CD, Capitalist Kids "Sarah" 7"
coming soon... Masked Intruder/Turkletons 7"
C'mon, it's Czechoslovakia, it's like going into Wisconsin.
