I worked at Wendy's from 15 to 17, so 10 years ago. It was the only place that would hire me. Other than my first job with my mom's work, but she fired me. Hands down it was the hardest job I've ever had and the shittiest pay. I started at 5.15/h. After a promotion to crew leader and several raises, when I quit I was at about 6.15/h. It blew my mind that doing a good job got you like 10 cents and a promotion like 30 back then. Since then I've worked in a dozen or so restaurants and I make wayyyyy more now. I've done everything from manage, bar tend, serve, cook, wash dishes. All are way easier and paid me more that that shit hole. Which makes me wonder why is it that, the harder you work, the less you make....?
