wat

your comment about unsolicited advice in a thread about weight loss seems like an excuse.  you don't want to hear what has worked for people?  then it seems that one isn't really interested in achieving a goal and is making an excuse.

I think she just wants enjoi to shut up. seems like a normal enough reaction.
I wouldn't go as far as calling them a "gang" (more like fucking morons), but Juggalos, far and away, are the people who cause the most problems in our library.

nah, you just have no idea about how to motivate people. Everyone knows about eating fewer calories.

I guess there are many different angles. I just assume that people who have struggled with weight already know all of the tips/tricks/logic that goes into weight loss, but maybe some people don't, and appreciate the advise.

this is the thing that was a bit of a revelation for myself anyway... sure intellectually i had all the angles covered. mentally, i was weak. people know what to do, it's simply the desire and not allowing yourself to make justifications and excuses.

i know it sounds soooo stupid and trite, but literally that is IT, thats the difference.

I'm going to start going to the gym every morning and eating one raw head of cauliflower every evening.

What app, is it for iPhone?

I used an app called Lose It! It basically helps you keep track of calorie intake and calories burned.

Someone said that everyone knows about eating fewer calories, which is true, but most people have no clue how many calories are in what foods. There are a lot of healthy foods that have tons of calories. This app let's you specifically type in each food (like a granola bar, banana, bowl of cereal, etc.) and saves it, so when you eat it again you just have to pick it from a list which will subtract from your daily allotment based upon your goal weight. You can also add up the calories for, let's say a sandwich, by adding all of the  separate items together, then saving it as one item.

I don't use the app anymore, but it gave me an enormous amount of information in terms of calories in each food item, so I have rough idea now. I've been 139 pounds for nearly two years now only wavering by a pound or two. I just counted calories with the app and rode the recumbent bike every other day. Just takes a little discipline.

eat slower and your brain takes 15 minutes to talk to your stomach is the kind of advice you get the kind of dietitian who buys fake weed to smoke.

with the amount of cancer and heart disease related death in my family, i can't eat enough. most men in my family have bypasses or die in their 60's.  that's only 20 years away. so you can maybe see why i'm a vegetable dick now

Thats what I was looking for when I did this. I knew I was eating too much, too crappy etc.. but I have no idea how bad it actually is, and specifically what food items are "really" bad and which are not.

I'm pregnant and shouldn't be losing weight.  But I started the pregnancy over weight and have been kind of eating crap for the past few months.  I downloaded an app to just help keep track of what foods and how much I've been eating.  Just keeping track helps me steer clear of all the sugary snacks I've been wanting and eating.

Honestly, I wouldn't be upset at all if I didn't gain another pound this pregnancy.  I'm already up 15 and I should only gain between 11 and 20 due to initial weight.

Try a different app.  That one sounds like it's broken.

diet starts today.  i had a rather underwhelming bowl of Multi-grain Cheerios for breakfast, along with 3 strawberrys.  i have some weird pita thing for lunch.  no idea what's for dinner tonight yet, but probably something small like a salad and some yogurt.

Like, the male animals should be made to wear skirts and wigs and stuff, and the females should go past a line of builders who make cat-calls at them and whistle loudly in their direction.

I had some crispix cereal with almond milk for breakfast.

Strawberry yogurt for mid morning snack.

4 servings of mixed vegetables (steam in bag type) with some butter.

Dinner will be a ground beef and pasta thing that I got from my american heart association cookbook.

Dessert will be full fat cookies and cream ice cream that I made with my ice cream maker that Lucas got me for Christmas!  Ha!

If you don't want to spend money on a gym or home fitness equipment you could get this book called Convict Conditioning. It's a totally stupid story about how all the tough guys in prison stay in shape. Being the metrosexual super lightweight youngling I am I could totally relate. It contains a sweet bodyweight workout with training plans and progressions you can totally do at home. Takes maybe 30 minutes. I like it.
