Huh, at first I thought you were just giving purposeful, crazy, over the top and incorrect analogies to make a point about how dumb this is or something.  Now I'm thinking that maybe you actually don't how an analogy works.

I did this to an old Louis Armstrong record that barely played before and now it plays beautifully, minus a few scratches that are obviously permanent.
