Hey All,

Time again to ask for donations for the message board. It costs about $150 a month to keep this place up and running. I depend on donations to help pay for it. I have not asked for any money since November 2010 and now the fund is about depleted. Every penny I get goes to paying for the hosting of this site.

As a bonus for donating, all ad's except the one on the top right will be removed.

Please think of the amount of time you spend on this board and how much all of that is worth. A number of you subscribe to Razorcake for $15 a year in which you get 6 issues. Say you spend 1-2 hours reading that and then you are done. How many of you spend an hour or 2 here a day? How much is that worth?

$150 doesn't seem that unreasonable for a dedicated server or dedicated virtual server. i don't think a cheapo shared hosting solution would work for the PPMB, given the amount of traffic that goes through here...

We got kicked off a few different shared hosting sites due to the amount of resources this place uses. It really comes down to needing dedicated RAM. We currently have 4gb and that is getting to be too small.

It is currently hosed at Storm On Demand on a dedicated virtual server. I have gone through a number of hosts over the years and I have to say that I love Storm. They have excellent tech support and actively monitor processes running on the server (apache, mysql etc) so if something goes wrong they immediately know about it and fix it without me having to do anything.

You should keep a running total at the top of this thread with how much money in total has been donated.

Also, you should put a donation button on the top of this shizz or something so people can ALWAYS donate whenever!!
