does Yannich actually write any of their songs though? i think that's sort of an important part of whether or not anything the former Ergs have done are counted as a proper spinoff. i love both Black Wine and Night Birds about equally, but they're two very different bands and i could understand how some folks might like one and not the other, but to call them "boring" or "the worst" is definitely just trying to be outrageous for the sake of it.
