I was completely unaware of these funding practices until this very moment, and I AM IMMEDIATELY OUTRAGED THAT THEY WANT POOR WOMEN'S TITS TO FALL OFF.

This is seriously the kind of shit I hate about "social media." People who would otherwise not give a shit about anything or anyone but themselves are suddenly activists so long as they don't have to get off of their phone or computer and do anything about whatever thing they're mad about for that 2 or 3 days that it takes to make its cycle around Twitter/Facebook news feeds.

well, it's giving up donating to the Koman foundation. that facebook page encourages people to donate to another breast cancer charity or directly to planned parenthood.

Yeah, as soon as I wrote that I came to the conclusion on my own. Its cool that Bloomberg donated $250,000.

yeah, apparently unlike most people I read this past the headline, and I read Komen's response.

it's crazy that people think planned parenthood is entitled to that money in any way, and that it wouldn't necessarily be better spent elsewhere, or that they have any idea what the fuck they are talking about on these issues they just heard about. it is the dumbest, most reactionary thing ever.

I wouldn't call being angry about losing over $500,000 annually, that had previously been allocated for women's health, a knee jerk reaction. I'd call it logical.

Regardless of what the reason was. If the reason was to help puppies live longer, cuter lives...then maybe that would be ok.
