Please suggest awesome bachelor party ideas

I know there will be joke responses, but i would genuinely like some good suggestions if you have any. I'll follow that up with no strippers/titty bars. Don't care about those.

This is going to be memorial day weekend. Possibly a weekend long event or possibly one night of debauchery. Still up in the air on that one.

That is an initial idea my brother (who is my best man and planning most of this) suggested. He was thinking getting a cabin in The Dells for the weekend. I'm into that idea, but would like to hear other awesome ideas as well.

Strippers aren't a 100% no, but it is just the cliche bachelor party thing. I've been to many bachelor parties and most end up at a strip joint where the groom gets stripped and whipped and drawn on and humiliated by some nasty skank stripper on stage at everyone else's expense. It doesn't seem like a sweet time to me. Pretty boring, actually.

JohnnyB's bachelor party consisted of a fancy dinner with his groomsmen and then some barhopping around the city.  it wasn't anything crazy spectacular but he did get wined and dined really nicely by some of his closest friends.

I think drunken bumper cars could be part of a sweet bachelor party weekend. Water parks/fishing/bonfires/boating/paintballing/bars.....which The Dells would entail, could rule. But I feel as though there are ideas I'm totally blanking on.

if your area has a street where there are several (like 4+) bars, do a bar crawl, dressed up like an idiot/make it obvious your getting married.  its the easy way out, and you dont have to pay for any drinks/?



we took my friend to vegas for his. that might also be cliche... but smoked cigars and reminisced and shit.  kind of boring, but he was cool with it, and thats the point i guess?  might have to go to vegas for the next friends' in the summer, i dont know... i wasn't the best man in either, so i had/have no say i nit.

I'm the bachelor! I initially wanted to book a show and have some bands I like and am friends with play it and get crazy at/after that. Then I realized that would require me to do almost all of the planning/organizing and I don't really want to plan my own bachelor party. Haha....

Was hoping to do a Cubs game/night in Chicago, but they aren't in town that weekend. Also, my groomsmen are from all over the country and will be flying or driving a long way for this, so I sort of want to make it worth it for everyone who have to travel and stuff.

If you are thinking about the Dells, there is an "adult" campground right across the road from a strip club.  The campground is "adult" in the sense that it allows alcohol, late "quiet" hours, and I believe does not allow kids. 

The strip club is pretty decent and has one of the best names ever.  Cruising Chubbies.

We did it once for a bachelor party and had a blast.  Days were full of drinking/grilling/bag toss/horseshoes and late night at the club.  Pretty awesome time and no driving involved.

I'd love a Vegas bachelor weekend, even if it is cliche. It would be entirely too expensive though (especially Memorial Day weekend), so it's probably not in the cards.

for mine my friends and i went to the shore for a weekend and it was a blast.  hit some bars and restaurants and just enjoyed hanging out.  it was more about having fun with everyone there than exactly what we did.

I totally agree with this. I kinda wanna do mostly outdoors stuff, so I was even thinking just getting a bunch of us together, getting a bunch of canoes and food and beers, and cruising down the river camping on sandbars all weekend. Of course that is sort of dependent on the weather, which can be hit or miss that time of the year.

Yeah, that's kinda why my brother suggested the Dells in Wisconsin. Lots of fun "adult" things you can find to do and it is closer for the majority of us (who already live in the Midwest). Get a cabin or 2 and just do whatever in the Dells we want all weekend. I do like the idea of a little vacation and am totally open to other cool places for a quick weekend party and in the Midwest would be preferred.
