judging by threads about girls in bands i've seen on here, it's like two different categories.  if you're hot, you're hot.  if you're talented, you're talented.   both is great, but either is commendable...

I was once told that The only reason Guys intentionally become Friends with girls is because they think they are cute. Has any other girl been told this and can guys tell me if it's true?

I think it's much easier to be friends with girls you're not attracted to, but that's just me.  Otherwise, there's the tension and the inevitable hurt feelings when the guy tries to cross the "friends barrier" and it just doesn't work.  Well, I guess that's my experience at least.

And girls in bands might get cut a little slack, as in, if a girl can kick out the fuckin' jams and is attractive, it WILL make her more attractive.  But Donna F. is and always will be fugly no matter what.  Ya can't polish a turd.

I'm not friends with any girls and never have been closer than an aquaintance with one.  I don't have anything in common with females and I assume they'd feel the same way about me.  

I don't give two shits what a girl in a band looks like.  I listen to music for music, not for how big the titties are or anything of that business.  Fuck that.  If a bitch can write good music, I'm down.  If she can't, fuck her.
