Where did you find the cheap flight to LA?
Skybus, which is online-only reservations and based in Columbus, just opened. They only fly to about a dozen metropolitan areas. It does super low-frills (like you pay $5 for each of your checked bags) flights that start with $10 fares and go up as the plane fills & as the dates get closer. I can get those days for $50 apiece to LA. They also save money by flying to less popular airports, so they don't go to the main ones or whatever. Regardless, $50 + taxi to megabus station + megabus to Las Vegas (the megabus stop is less than 2 miles from the strip) is way cheaper than ANYTHING else I can find. They sell out really fast, that's why I am being so pushy about the date. This is basically the only way I can afford to go to this super sweet sounding party weekend.
