Really just the Marty McFly line. The rest is not bad, but pop-culture allusions irk me. Relistening now though I'm really enjoying it.
haha thanks, yeah i figured that might be the line that you didn't like :)

do me.

SQUINTY!

1. Dead Kennedy's- "Take this job and shove it"- Great bit of angry punk rock to start off the day. 8/10
2. Misfits- "Hollywood Babylon"- Far from their best stuff. It's allright. 6/10
3. Ramones- "Do you wanna dance?"- Boom! 9/10
4. Smart Cops- "La Soffiata"- Some angry Italian hardcore punk here. Not my cup of tea. 4/10
5. Adolescents- "No Friends"- Meh. Never really got into this band when I went through my '80s hardcore punk phase, so there's no nostalgia or anything in hearing them. Kind of sounds like early Black Flag, or Circle Jerks or something. Yeah. 5/10
BONUS: Screeching Weasel- "Totem Pole"- This one gets into your head like a motherfucker. 7/10
'ello, guvnor!  Care for a spot of tea, then?  Why, I'll just nip up the apples and pears for a spanner, because I'm milo10 and I'm a complete git!

1. Iron Chic- Cutesy Monster Man- Great song. Their album is really good. 8/10
2. Black Wine- Black Wine- Pretty cool, I wish there were words. 4/10
3. Taylor Swift- Better than Revenge- Fuck yeah, no shame. One of my favorites off Speak Now. 8/10
4. Rumspringer- The May I Help You Riff- It's alright, I guess. 5/10
5. Descendents- Good Good Things- Love this song. 9/10

You rule for having Taylor Swift.

If it works, lets do it?

Ok, I'm doing this. You better be on form, Mr. Hard.

1. Sloppy Seconds- "Jerry Kids"- Don't listen to much SS. This is allright, but it just kind of makes me want to listen to The Queers. 6/10

2. The Tattle Tales- "One Lawn Away"- YES. 9/10

3. Pansy Division- "Homo Christmas"- Fun. And a catchy, silly chorus to boot! 7/10

4. The Queers- "I Can't Get Invited to the Prom"- We're really on a '90s pop punk kick now. I wish The Queers were half this good now. 8/10

5. The Lillingtons- "Don't Trust The Humanoids"- I think DBT is overrated, but yeah this song is really good. 8/10

BONUS: Screeching Weasel- "Life Sucks (and so do you)"- First album Weasel....a while since I heard this. Bratty and silly. Boogada x3 really was a massive step forward. Urgh. 4/10

Milo10 review(not really a last fm review)

1 Measure SA- drunk by noon     Kind of weird though this chorus is killer! 7,5/10
2 The Adverts-Bored teenagers    A classic song I've never recall hearing before, Awesome! 8/10
3 Shaking hands-You should really get that looked at  Folky! I like that alot 8/10
4 Mr T experience-Semi Ok!  This song is semi Ok and that's a whole lot better than it used to be yesterday. Obviusly better than that! 9/10
5 Transgressions- Sleazeball   Probavly could be better, but that's not saying much. This band is hit/miss this is a miss I guess 5/10

i'm home and sick and bored so i'm going to review my own station
and anyone else that pops in here

1. mixtapes - taking a year off.  i get this in my head a lot.  its good, but i like it better when "hope is for people" happens next.  7/10
2. banner pilot - eraser.  i wasn't too into this when i first got the album, but it's grown on me.  great chorus.  8/10
3. night birds - hoffman lens.  maybe my favorite from this LP.  it just builds and builds and is so full of venom.  9/10
4. the beach boys - gee.  well that's a weird transition.  a neat piece of music, but it so obviously belongs on the album instead of by itself.  i'll call it an even 5/10
5. taylor swift - speak now.  i have yet to get tired of anything on this album.  such a good chorus.  and that guitar lead is an awesome hook.  the pastry lyric still makes me laugh, too.  8/10
6. the copyrights - trustees of modern chemistry.  another one that fits better in the context of the album.  it's gonna sound so weird when it stops and "crutches" doesn't start.  great opener, though.  7/10
7. the weakerthans - hospital vespers.  this gives the cat songs a run for their money as far as being unbearably sad.  the details in the lyrics are heartbreaking.  9/10
8. eat skull - cooking a way to be happy.  fun and silly.  i always picture this band as a bunch of lunatics living on a compound somewhere in the woods.  i'm sure that's not true.  but it's a nice mental image.  it's probably because some of the acoustic stuff reminds me of the manson family jams. 6/10
9. joy division - atrocity exhibition.  this was the first JD song i ever heard, and i was not prepared at all.  it took a few weeks to wrap my head around it.  whoever told me to get "closer" first was either fucking with me or delusional.  several years later, this still sounds fresh and exciting and menacing and incredible.  those guitar noises are the best.  it sounds like a song being taken apart rhythmically 9/10
10. harvey danger - underground.  this is one of those covers that completely destroys the original.  though i doubt many people know the original.  or this version.  so i'm probably one of 10 people that care.  anyway.  tense and building and biting.  glad i got to see them do it live once or twice.  8/10

I don't there's anyone else on the planet who would or could write a love song about ocelots except for Christy Brigitte Darlington.

Gurt radio!!

our compatibility is super and i know you also love new order, so this should be enjoyable!

1. dead mechanical - a great lie.  one of my favorite songs of theirs.  this definitely deserves to be the A side of a single and not necessarily on an album.  everyone's playing on this fits together superbly.  i hope i get to see them again soon, sucks i missed them at insub 2011. 9/10

2. the pains of being pure at heart - higher than the stars.  this is one of those bands that i like (sometimes a lot) when they're on, and then forget about.  i don't own any of their records or anything even though i'm sure i'd like them.  this is really pleasant and very new order-esque in the keyboard parts.  one of these days i'll get an album of theirs.  one day. the end of this is pretty. 7/10

3. new order - your silent face.  THERE THEY ARE.  i love when bernard's snarky lyrics, especially over really serene, lush music like this.  i wish i could get away with telling people to piss off, but i think it only works with a british accent.  melodica!  10/10

4. sick sick birds - your machine.  another band i enjoy when they're on, but own nothing by.  except that AOTU 7".  whoa horns.  i did not see that coming.  production-wise, this sounds like it could've come out in the late 70s, which is cool.  this is pretty great.  i should probably own this.  8/10

5. phoenix - 1901.  i've never heard this band before, but i see their name a lot.  this sounds pretty much like what i expected.  this is really close to a lot of stuff i like, but something just seems...off.  can't quite put my finger on it.  the fuzz bass tone is decent.  is this in a commercial?  this one part totally sounds like a commercial.  inoffensive enough.  5/10

6. the hold steady - the swish.  YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS.  i always wonder if he's referring to robitussin or the drummer from the misfits and black flag when he says "robo."  could be both?  the "i came out over the counter just to kiss you" line is THE BEST 9/10

7. yuck - suck.  if this is bad, it's gonna be waaaaaaaaaay too easy to make fun of it.  i know a lot of people that like this record.  i've never heard it.  the intro reminds me of 90s modest mouse.  that sorta dragging, drawling clean guitar.  this was decent in a familiar sort of way.  i don't think i'd buy it, but it was nice.  6/10

8. jimmy eat world - a praise chorus.  man, remember how bad this band used to get trashed in this forum?  19-year-old me always got a little bummed about that.  this a corny song for sure, but that's ok.  probably the best on the album, and it's got davey!  and he references TMBG!  this is still fun, damn the haters.  8/10

9. the raveonettes - lust.  first time hearing this band.  why did i think jack white was somehow involved in this?  is he in another band with a similar name?  fuck that dude.  this is decent spooky sounding stuff.  neat harmonies.  i bet this would be a good soundtrack for creepy sex.  pretty cool, i'd listen to more.  i like that it didn't drag on for too long.  6/10

10. third eye blind - semi charmed life.  whoa.  didnt see that one coming!  if it was a sunny summer day and i was driving around and it was 1999, this might be ok?  i saw this band when i was a senior in HS.  it was weird.  i went because of a girl.  sorry man, i just do not care about this song.  3/10

Thanks for the review!

I'm not sure where that Semi Charmed Life came from at the end, compared to the rest of those pulls that's a pretty weird outlier.

Knowing your penchant for warm, drony, fuzzy songs that still have a nice melody I'd recommend you check out more Raveonettes. I especially like the In and Out of Control and Lust, Lust, Lust albums.

Also, that Pains song is their absolute best, the way it builds to that climax that you don't even really see coming...that's been my favorite song for about the last 6 months.

Squinty!

i saw your username on some of the pictures of a band i listened to today.  maybe night birds?  mixtapes?

1. the white stripes - icky thump.  oh no, there's jack white.  i shouldn't have said his name.  i just have such a crazy bias against bands with no bass.  and this sorta reminds me of led zeppelin, who i also don't like at all.  my cat's giving me a cockeyed look.  i agree.  2/10

2. tenement - viscous.  this ends as soon as i get REALLY into it, and that rules.  they played it when i saw them last week, didn't expect that.  i really think i like the blind wink more than napalm dream.  and it's over.  fuck.  8/10

3. sugar - changes.  i've never heard sugar for some reason.  always meant to, never did.  i've seen "file under easy listening" in every used bin ever, so i guess i figured i can always get it some other time.  this sounds pretty much like what i figured it would.  in a good way.  that weird timing thing in the part before the solo was cool.  i'm kinda concerned that the song sounds like it could be over soon, but there are 3 minutes left.  last.fm is showing pictures of some other band called sugar that looks like real life invader zim characters.  YIKES.  OK, i get where this is going for the end.  it could still be shorter, but it doesnt drag much.  not bad! but a little too much soloing for me 6/10

4. the freeze - now or never.  short, sweet, to the point, but still catchy.  always well done.  7/10

5. minutemen - fascist.  not my favorite of theirs, but any minutemen song is welcome.  watt's bass playing is seriously the best.  7/10

6. hhh - Tchernobyl.  this is messing with my head.  something sounds weirdly mechanical and off.  maybe the drums?  this is fucking ANGRY.  this grew on me as much as something can in 1 minute.  the bass break sorta made it.  cool!  6/10

7. eddy current suppresion ring - i got a feeling.  another band i've never heard but keep meaning to.  especially given how much i love the new total control record.  australia's putting out so much good stuff right now.  this is more rock n roll than total control, i thought it might be more subdued.  still cool, though.  and it's got nice hooks.  i dig it.  7/10

8. otis redding - pain in my heart.  YEAH!  this might be a live version, i think i hear people singing along.  it's a pretty damn great live version if so.  it's tough to go wrong with otis.  8/10

9. night birds - one eye.  the bent, fucked up guitar that happens in the beginning and end of this song are my favorite thing.  every time i listen to this record i like it more.  perfectly short and fast.  9/10

10.  laura stevenson and the cans - montauk monster.  another one i keep figuring i'll like, but have never heard.  i was actually at a show they played once but missed them because i was eating pizza.  i figured i'd hear when they started and i never did.  i like how sparse this is, it sort of reminds me of marissa nadler's older stuff.  but less bleak.  oh, as soon as i wrote that, a bunch of clapping and other sounds started.  whoops!  now it's all raucous and fun.  i'd probably like this record.  7/10

I usually don't pull out songs this good! Eddy Current is catchy as hell. And I agree, that Sugar song would be so great if it were cut like 2 or 3 minutes shorter.
