I think I usually got a 1/2 chicken dinner and a large Coke. Shit was, like, $9-10.

I usually get a 3-pc. dinner at Popeye's with a large Coke, which is about $8. I guess it's about the same, but I figured Harold's would be way cheaper.

I breaded it and fried it last night, rolled it with ricotta and mozzarella and covered it with sauce. My mouth is watering right now. I can't wait for leftover tonight

My dad used to grow eggplant and we'd always have eggplant Parmesan.  That was super awesome.

it is veggie chili, it would be much different if there was meat in there
and plus habaneros and carrots go wonderfully together

and the celery is hard to explain, but it really fits in there well too
it has been years of tinkering to find the perfect combo of veggies, and i think i have it!

i cannot accept these vegetable chilis.  i make vegetarian chili but tends to be fake meat, beans, tomatoes, onions garlic and spices.  this is more like vegetable stew, which doesn't appeal to me for some reason.

i just said that i'm NOT into these vegetable "chilis."

(zing!)

welch loves them though.  i think i may be in a werido minority.  i also put ketchup into chili along with saltines.  i am the gross one, no doubt.

i don't love veggie chili much either. they are often very bland, and i sorta like the taste of meat in chili.

Every time I hit the "new" button on this thread, it takes me to Crystal saying that she cannot accept these veggie chilis.  Her passion and fury is controlling the internet!

Bacon wrapped water chestnuts?  The only time I've had water chestnuts is in chinese food, and they're just like crunchy nothing.  They remind me of the stemmy parts of lettuce.  I guess anything could be better wrapped in bacon, though.

I don't like chili, so I'm totally Switzerland in that battle.

I totally cooked cashew chicken tonight, motherfuckers!  That was awesome.  And this new wine-instead-of-beer thing is going well.  I feel much better about things.  Especially in the morning.

Cashew chicken!  I cooked it!
