You should be fine. With small installments you won't lose much. I don't think you need to do it all at once, they just don't immediately inform you or cut you off when you've donated enough.

Wyatt an I started a new town last night since his got erased when we got the Wii fixed.  I'm really excited to finally play but also torn... I'm a super completest when it comes to video games, and Wyatt says that's basically the point of this game, but you have to play it every day or else you'll miss out.  I don't know if I can make that commitment!   Thoughts?

eh you dont have to play it everyday.  i need to play soon though because all my flowers are probably dead.  like there are some things that will suffer if u dont play at least every other day.  and if you plant turnips you have to go on every day to water them or else they die.

I have myself down to about 5 minutes a day of stuff I "have to" do, then on weekends or when I have spare time I do the collecting stuff.

You should next sell stuff, buy a shovel, bury it somewhere near the sea shore where you can find it, and then start collecting stuff! Nook buys or takes anything. Take the first of everything you get (bugs, fish, paintings) to the museum and give it to Blathers. Start buying coffee from the museum coffee shop once a day so you have a place to store your gyroids.

The fun in this game is that you can choose what to focus on and what not to focus on.  There's a TON of content if you wanna be a completist, but most people choose a handful of aspects of the game to have fun with.
