Why, black people, why?
« on: April 22, 2009, 11:48:59 PM »
Somebody posted this on myspace:
Quote
Subject: Something that honestly bothers me......
Body: I'm sorry if this offends some people but it's the way I feel and it doesn't make sense to me.

Why do black people speak the way they do? Why don't they pronounce their words like they need to be pronounced? Why is it that the black people in England speak like the white people in England but the black people here speak nothing like the white people here? The only time you see a white person not speaking properly is when they're trying to act like a black person. And not only black people, I even see some Mexicans who were born in america not speak properly too.

And why is it that nobody thinks anything of it!!!????

IT DRIVES ME NUTS!!!!
Just because you were raised by a family who pronounces their words like that doesn't mean you have to do that also. My mom pronounces words SOOOOOO southern and country but I don't speak that way.

I go to school with a lot of "black people" and the only pronunciation that really bugs me is when "ask" is pronounced "aks"

I'm not even joking when I say that an old lady came into my work the other day and kept talking about how black people smell. Like just out in the open. She didn't even care who was listening. Also, most black people I know think that white people smell funny.

As for the topic... annoying. I know I've posted this before, but one of the reasons my friend left town was because someone, in the middle of a college classroom, singled her out and said, "You don't talk like a normal black person." I personally don't understand why people don't get that there is no such thing as "normal black people talk." I was in the store the other day and overheard a girl talking real ghetto and saying things like she wanted Micheal Vick to be her "baby daddy," (odd in itself) and using words like "aks," and I turned around and she was the whitest girl in the place.

Personally, I'm gonna start using "black people talk" in place of ebonics.

Black people also steal a lot, all the time.  It's as if their disgusting black hands can't help but take things that aren't theirs.

Personally, no. Just like with the old lady, I would just think it's a little ignorant.

However, there is a huge difference between having a private discussion with a friend and a person spouting off in an obviously negative manner in a public place to the point of having other people look at her like, "What the fuck are you talking about?" I couldn't even begin to imagine the chaos that would ensue if a black person came into my work and starting going off in a very public and negative manner about anything about white people.

EDIT: I didn't see that you said, "came in," as in came into my work. Yes, I would feel the exact same way. In fact, the lady was getting to the point that we were going to have to tell her stop because she was violating building policy. I would do the exact same thing with a black person. Though, like I said, the little old white lady got away with it, whereas I doubt a black guy would get away with it in the same manner.

In all seriousness, maybe I'm a spoiled coast city brat, but it's crazy to me that there are places where white people would get cut more slack than black people in situations like this.

But what you lack is the black man's unquenchable thirst for rape.
Vagina tastes like Raisinettes.  Obviously you don't have a lot of experience with the ladies.

I can recall two distinct situations where little 'ol white ladies complained about people simply because they were black. Personally, it think it's kind of bullshit that they somehow get a pass because "Oh, they come from a different time." I've been hearing that since I was like five, so that must have been one long, long "different time," seeing as I am now 32.

Growing up on the border of Gary was pretty interesting. People will just start random conversations with you in line at the store about how black people are "ruining everything" and "the area is getting 'dark'."

Are there any black people that post here?  I'm guessing no.
probably groping her and shoving her back and forth, maybe a little more roughhousing like hair pulling and a stomach punch, that's how i imagine an assault on a woman
