What are the worst mascots?

My college's mascot was a Gorlok. So named for Gore and Lockwood streets, near where the campus is situated, the Gorlok is a "mythical" (made up) frankenstein of a cheetah, buffalo, and a st. bernard who is supposed to embody the spirit of speed, agility, and stamina. They once had a costume that actually looked like a Gorlok, but after I graduated, they started using a fluffy lion of some kind (even though they still call it the Gorlok):

Southern New Hampshire University was originally founded as the New Hampshire College of Accounting and Commerce, which at least means that having a goddamned Patriots ripoff with a pen makes sort of sense.

George Mason's Mascot doesn't belong in this thread. Neither does Western Kentucky's mascot.


Matt, Paul, Adam and my alma mater uses a cardinal (the bird) as its athletics mascot, but we were actually the cardinals, as in the religious officials.

Oberlin College is the yeoman (yes, singular). I believe their only logo is an O.

I used to have a subscription to Mental Floss.  It was okay, but they made some pretty obvious mistakes in articles that made me question the rest of the magazine.  The most obvious was when they said that something most people don't know about "Born to Run" was that it was about getting out of NYC.  I've never heard or seen anything like that anywhere.

Kewpies and Gorlocks might be the winner so far.  I can't believe Kewpie is a HIGH SCHOOL mascot.  I'd love to hear the history on that one.  (My High School mascot was the Hornet, which is pretty good considering how bad it could've been!)
