Rules:
1. Two Players on each team, a chick and a dude;
2. I'll play a song from each of the four players' stations. The team with the highest sum gets the point.
3. For each game, one team is designated as the SERVING team. A tie goes to the team that's serving.
4. If the serving team combines for 17/20 or higher, it is an ACE and they automatically receive the point.
5. First team to win 6 games wins the set.
6. Best of 3 sets.

First set, first game (Team Cleptic Serves)
Cleptic: The Stanley Brothers "A Life of Sorrow" - This is some twangy country bluegrassy stuff that people from Virginia enjoy. It's pleasant enough, but my face is not melting at least one little bit. 5/10
Jettrocks: Ambulance LTD "Ophelia" - This is some really nice shimmery rock. My monitor is shimmering as I type this. Definitely hear some mid-80's influence, maybe a little bit like the Church but with a little more modern sound. I could see this song growing on me a lot. 7/10
Marshall: The Jam "Non-Stop Dancing" - The Jam doing a 1-4-5 type old rock and roll song. I'm tapping my goddamned foot. 7/10
Packard: Superchunk "With Bells On" - This band is as catchy as a chicken. This is a prototypical summertime listening band. 7/10

Cleptic: Dead Milkmen "Punk Rock Girl" - Meh. I like a bunch of Dead Milkmen songs but was never super wild about this one. Probably overplayed. 6/10
Jettrocks: The Rolling Stones "I am Waiting" - I enjoy the hammered dulcimer on this early Rolling Stones track! This is an underrated Rolling Stones song. 8/10

Marshall: Dead Mechanical "The Only Bad Thing That Ever Happened" - I think Lucas sounds a lot like Keith Morris. Not one of my favorites, but still a good song. 7/10
Packard: All Girl Summer Fun Band "Dear Mr. and Mrs. Troublemaker" - I am not the target audience. 5/10

Cleptic: The Steinways "Fruitmarket Fantasy" - This has a number of components that, when put together, provide an accurate template for a genre known as pop punk. 5/10
Jettrocks: Talking Heads "Psycho Killer" - This is the live version, not as good as the studio version, but still a great song. Jett Rocks shoots an anxious, perhaps even slightly hostile glance back at her teammate. 7/10

Marshall: Supremes "I Hear a Symphony" - This is great. 9/10
Packard: Sebadoh "Bouquet for a Siren" - This is one of those bands that I've really heard very little of. Hmmm. I like the combination of buzziness and jangly guitars. The vocals are simultaneously good and grating on the nerves, almost in the way that I find Dinosaur Jr's vocals. This is interesting. 7/10

Cleptic: The Marked Men "Stay Home" - Yeah, this is a great song. I like this record so much that sometimes I kinda forget about the individual songs. 9/10

Cleptic: Screeching Weasel "Hangin' Around" - This song still holds up pretty well. One of the best tracks on Wiggle. 8/10
Jettrocks: Tiffany "I Think We're Alone Now" 0/10

Marshall: Marked Men "A Little Lesson" - Another great song from Fix My Brain. 7/10
Packard: Jiimmy Eat World "Bleed American" - This is pretty rocked out and cheesy. I can see the appeal of some of these elements, but overall it just makes me feel oogy. 3/10

Cleptic: The Clash "Should I Stay or Should I Go" - This is really tough to score. It's a classic and everything, but I doubt it's in my Top 40 of Clash songs. I don't think I've been excited to hear this since maybe 9th grade. I am inclined to give it a 6, but it's probably a 7/10.
Jettrocks: Go Sailor "I'm Still Crying" - This is soft-jangly-peppy. Pretty okay. 6/10

Marshall: Chinese Telephones "I Can't Be Right" - Pretty good punchy poppy. 7/10
Packard: The Muffs "I Need You" - This is a slow bouncy rocker. I bet it would be a lot of fun to see them play this live. There's either a bass or guitar under there that is so distorted that you can barely hear the notes - it sounds great. She's got a great scream. 8/10
