On the Wii: Metroid Prime (by way of "Metroid Prime Trilogy"). I never beat part 1, and never even played part 2, so I'm stoked!

On the DS: Scribblenauts, duh. Also working my way through Chrono Trigger for the first time in forever. And trying to beat the last level of Diner Dash.

In my dreams: Batman Arkham Asylum

Metroid Prime is awesome. Anything Metroid is awesome, really.

I can't believe you've never played Chrono Trigger.

I'm currently playing Mario Kart Wii because it's the only game my little sister has that isn't Bratz The Movie The Game or some shit. Mario Kart Wii is easily the worst one in the series. What a turd.

You can play Chrono Trigger on a DS? That was my favorite game of all time. It's been, uh, 14 years or something and I haven't played that many games since, but still.

I would consider buying a DS for tour for Chrono Trigger alone!

While this is generally a valid point, I think the fact that that whole game is just you as fucking Mrs. Metroid running around in a circle up a series of increasingly difficult staircases is stupid. Are all the new Metroid games like that?

Hmm, I don't really remember it being like that. I mean I remember a lot of platforming. But that's why I liked it, because even though it was first person it still felt like Super Metroid.

Echoes was just hard for the sake of being hard and I haven't played the new one.

kind of like the KOTOR series or like the last Ultimate alliance. you can be a bunch of different marvel heros. It looks like it is based on the Civil war story judging from the first few levels I beat last night.

you can selectively build your characters strengths or set it to auto build your character.
There are conversations that you answer aggressively/diplomatically/defensively that end up pushing the story in different directions (I think)

you're a team of 4 and you can play with up to 3 people. or you just run around with three other "ai" characters. you can combine your powers (ie. spider man can spin wolverine around at enemies)

Yeah I finished Metroid Prime 3. It's way more fun playing the older ones with the wii controls.

I played Chrono Trigger! I am replaying it on the DS!

The Layton games are seriously awesome. I recommend them highly! There are lots of good puzzle games for the DS: Tetris, Puzzle Quest, Picross, etc. For adventurey games, I recommend the Phoenix Wright games, Trace Memory, or Hotel Dusk.

A lot of this is jus tbecause I'm almost constantly lost, and running through the same rooms over and over trying to figure out what to do.

I have a 25 dollar Target gift card and have been trying to decide between Batman or Need For Speed Shift. I know Batman would keep me more interested and the reviews are great but having a 7 month old really hinders any serious gaming so the racing game may work better with my limited gaming availability.
