I figured all the wrestling talk can go here. The more posts here, the more it looks like we're talking about a legitimate sport. Like hockey!

I saw ECW last night. Regal's enraged scream / table kick during the Abraham Washington segment was probably the best part of the whole show. I wish they'd get rid of Koslov and Ezekiel. They're the lamer Legacy of ECW. That's pretty bad. Maybe there's hope for Ezekiel but it looks like they're just running out Kozlov's contract after failing to use him right on every other show. The Tatsu / Christian match was pretty boring. Tatsu was going pretty hard but Christian didn't look like he gave a shit and seemed kinda worn out. Tatsu still seems a bit green. My big beef is when a wrestler whips another wrestler into the ropes then ducks down like they're going to backflip them, only to be kicked in the face by the wrestler coming off the ropes. Tatsu (Shamus does this as well) whips Christian into the ropes and immediately ducks down, so he's just standing there bent over for a good five seconds. Stop telegraphing your moves! At least TRY and act like there's still a bit of kayfabe! The ECW GM is still really hot. her broken arm makes her kinda hotter. Alarming.

From my understanding, NOBODY ever liked Watts. His weird WCW regulations made zero sense. Apparently his Hall of Fame speech last year was incredible and he flies off the handle about jesus and so forth for most of the time.

I got that match on an IVP disc along with Rikidozan's matches with Blassie. Good stuff.

Jay Lethal / Randy Savage vs. half black / half white Roddy Piper in a race war handicap match would be the greatest thing ever.

I remember Road Dogg giving the 1-2-3 Kid a piledriver off the top rope during an In Your House PPV in 1995 to answer that question.

I was also in attendance when Matt Sydal's brother almost joined Brian Pillman, Owen Hart, Davey Boy Smith and others in the afterlife due to the most ridiculous looking reverse Styles Clash off the top rope. It was the single greatest spot i've ever seen live. Everything else after that just pales in comparison.

If, and it's a big IF, Hogan stays away from the ring and takes over creative, he really needs to realize that bringing in his old pals like Beefcake the Booty Man and the Nasty Boys is NOT the way to get more people to start watching. It didnt work in WCW a decade and a half ago and it wont work now, when they're all waaaaay past their primes.

Hogan needs to expand this product that TNA currently has. Go up and down the roster. Trim the fat. Guys that are there just because they were once in WWE is not a good business model. Stop trying to start a war with WWE. Create your own identity. They have the X-Division which is what sold me on the company way back in 2002. Expand on that. It's their most over showcase. Their women's wrestlers are light years ahead of the WWE divas, but they've run that division into the ground quick as well. Showcase your athletes that are willing to go out there and take risks to entertain the crowd. TNA always claims they want to be the future of wrestling. Hogan needs to take that phrase to heart and build on it. Angle and a small handful of veterans mixed in with hungry, young and exciting wrestlers is what the fans want.

All that said, this company is fucked if they go head to head with Raw. Vince will own the tape library by 2011 if thats the way it goes down.
